We at AskewTaylorPaints.studio are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. We may update this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

What we collect

Any personally indentifying information we collect will be on a voluntary basis. You are free to read any articles we post without logging in or telling us who you are. However, should you choose to ask us a question or contact us, we will need a way to contact you back with our reply. For that reason, we may ask you for the following:

  • Name (For general questions, we do not go out of our way to verify if this is your real name. A nickname is fine. For the shopping component of our site, we may need your real name to verify payment information and process your order.)
  • e-Mail Address (Using a real e-mail address is helpful if you would like us to write you back.)
  • Shipping/Billing Address (We will ask for this info if you choose to order something from our web site.)
  • Your Facebook ID may be revealed if you contact us through Facebook
  • Other social media ID's may be revealed if you contact us through other social media.
  • Your eBay payment/shipping info will be shared with us by eBay if you purchase something through our eBay store.
  • Your PayPal username and billing address may be visible to us if you choose to pay for a purchase while logged into your own PayPal account. We do not require you to have a PayPal account to complete any purchase. You may checkout as a guest if you prefer.
  • Anonymous key word searches from the "Search" boxes on our web site. We do not see who entered the search key words, only what the search terms were and whether our web site's internal search engine found a match.
  • Other relevant contact information will be voluntary.

For the exhaustive list of cookies that our shopping cart software collects for us, see the List of cookies we collect section.

PayPal Payments and our eBay Store

We use PayPal payments for both our eBay store and our AskewTaylorPaints.studio shopping cart. If you choose to complete an order with us through either AskewTaylorPaints.studio or eBay then your name, credit card, and shipping/billing address information will be visible to PayPal for the purpose of processing payment. We do not control the cookies used or data collected by PayPal and eBay on their respective web sites. And we encourage you to review their privacy and cookie policies.

PayPal Insights

(Updated 11/8/2017) PayPal has added a tracking feature for merchants who process web payment through PayPal. We are currently implementing this option as a way to see which pages on our web site receive the most (or the fewest) views. We do this to better understand how our visitors use our site and where we need to improve our content. Since PayPal Insights is a new service, we are still in the process of evaluating it.

What is the PayPal insights script?

It is a snippet of JavaScript that loads in the page footer. It tells PayPal which page is being loaded and which IP address requested it. It shares cookie data from our site.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with better service, and in particular we may request your information for the following reasons:

  • For our internal record keeping related to inquiries you submit to us.
  • To improve our products and services.
  • To share news about our website with you if you opt into our mailing list. We do not spam. Using our inquiry form will not automatically add you to our e-mail list, which must be requested separately.
  • We do share some customer browsing data with PayPal Insights to help us understand which pages our customers are viewing (or not viewing) so that we can create better content in future.

What we Do Not do with your information

  • We do not share your name or mailing address with other businesses unless such sharing is necessary to send you a requested product, as in the case of a dropship. If an item is being drop shipped, we will label it as a dropship.
  • We do not store credit card numbers. However, PayPal may offer for you to create an account with them and store your payment data.
  • You do no need a PayPal account to complete a sale on our web site. You may check out as a guest if you prefer.
  • We do not sell your information.
  • We do not current have any affiliate shipping or advertising agreements with any other companies. Should we decide to include affiliate links on AskewTaylorPaints.studio at some future time, we will update this agreement to disclose who those affiliates are and what we share with them.
